Polina Teif is a filmmaker and photographer based in Toronto. She directed Eulogy for the Dead Sea (2022) and Bittersweet Becoming (2023). Polina received her BFA from the University of Toronto with a focus on Visual Studies and Semiotics and completed an MFA in Documentary Film Production at York University. She is an alumna of the 2019 Doc Institute Breakthrough Program, Cannes Doc Corner, 2020 Hot Docs Accelerator Program, and Berlinale EMF DocSalon Toolbox Program.
Her has been shown nationally and internationally to include Planet in Focus, RIFFA, VQFF, Istanbul Design Biennial, Trinity Square Video, Gallery Stratford, Art Metropole, Hart House, Nuit Blanche, and Idea Exchange. Her work has been featured in DER GRIEF, Aesthetica Magazine, Hart House Review, Magenta Magazine Collective Terrain, LUMA Quarterly and ICON Magazine.
